賴清德總統出席「2024投資歐盟論壇開幕典禮」時表示，面對威權主義擴張威脅，臺灣與歐盟除了要一起打造更強健的「民主保護傘」，更要共同建構更安全、更有韌性的「民主供應鏈」。期盼推動與歐盟洽簽「經濟夥伴協定」（EPA），加強雙邊經濟韌性和安全，確保全球供應鏈的穩定運作。並共同繼續努力讓臺歐關係不斷提升，讓每一個時刻都是臺歐盟關係最好的時刻。〔總統府提供〕
